Lifocolor GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1988 in Lichtenfels, with the aim of developing and manufacturing concentrated pigment preparations, also called masterbatches, as well as additives for plastics processing.

Important milestones in the company history are:

1992 Formation of Lifocolor Farbplast Sp. z o.o. in Poland

1993 Formation of Lifocolor s.r.o in the Czech Republic

1994 DIN ISO 9001 Certification

1999 Acquisition of Gilticolor s.a.r.l. in France

1999 Formation of International Colour Alliance (ICA)

2001 Completion of new administration building

2005 Completion of new development plant

2008 Completion of new high-rack warehouse
