Versatile diffuser- or frost-effect-masterbatches

LIFOPAL can be used in a wide range of variations depending on the dosage and base polymer, and our illustration folder shows various product examples that illustrate the light-scattering properties in transparent SAN, PMMA, PC and PET, including both transparent and opaque variants and show the effects of different additive quantities on light scattering, diffusion and transparency.
The processing properties are excellent, particularly with regard to precision in the use of engineering polymers in the automotive industry. The innovative day-night designs of LIFOPAL products scatter light over a large area without changing the light spectrum, resulting in a unique frosted look. The processing parameters for injection moulding and extrusion remain unchanged.

Also well suited for: Diffusing discs, lamp covers, construction panels and profiles as well as decorative packaging, especially in the cosmetics industry.

Diffusor Masterbatch:

Highly transparent plastics, including PMMA, SAN, PC and PET, are defined by inhomogeneous light diffusion. This results in a punctual perception of light radiation, which is commonly referred to as 'hot spots'. Our LIFOPAL additive masterbatch enables a homogeneous distribution of light radiation in transparent polymers, similar to the frosted glass effect. This creates an „icy“ appearance.

LIFOPAL is therefore of particular interest to the rapidly growing LED market. While LEDs have a considerably longer service life and significantly lower energy consumption compared to conventional light sources, their intense light is often perceived as uncomfortable. Covering the light with panels or profiles creates hot spots, and the light is not distributed evenly as a result. LIFOPAL prevents the formation of hot spots and ensures homogeneous light diffusion.

Frost-Effect-Masterbatch
