A successful year

Dr. Martin Fabian, managing director at Lifocolor Farben GmbH & Co. KG, began his speech by quoting the legendary football coach Sepp Herberger "After the game is before the game", explaining what this means for Lifocolor: no matter what challenge has been mastered or what goal has been achieved, things will continue.

Like many companies not only in the region, Lifocolor is also affected by the weakening economy and was not quite able to continue the success of the previous year. The downturn is also noticeable in the plastics industry.

The managing director also addressed the current political, ecological and economic challenges and, especially in view of the horror scenarios spread by the media, called for companies to continue to use their own wits and form their own opinions.

Dr. Fabian thanked the employees for their dedicated work. As usual, a delicious 3-course menu was enjoyed. The mentalist "Mark von Hannover" provided for the conversation between the courses and caused astonishment among the employees by apparently guessing the thoughts of the employees through very sharp observation of facial expressions and body language. The head of maintenance, Frank Polz, brought the employees up to date with a humorous photo show about the construction projects and the new machines.

At the Lichtenfels site, the construction site has been prepared to the extent that the construction of production, warehouse and QA can begin at the beginning of 2020. In Straufhain, the new hall is already in place and the detailed work is in full swing.

To the anniversaries

The company's jubilees (picture from left to right): Stephan Zetzmann, Jutta Vonbrunn, Christian Knottek, Detlef Baumann, Silvia Mennel, Karin Bauer, Dr. Reiner Hess, Frank Polz, Marco Rauscher, Heiko Wittmann and Roswitha Rauch were thanked for their years of commitment to Lifocolor with a tribute, flowers and gifts.

The popular tombola

As always, the employees were able to buy popular toys at auction and the raffle with nice prizes took place as usual. Those who were not satisfied with their prize, traded diligently with their colleagues.

This year, 850 € from the proceeds of the raffle will go to the "Foundation for Children with Cancer in Coburg".
