Re-sensitisation of technology
Digitalisation trends are leading to new virtual and futuristic experiences. With this new surge of progress we are entering unknown territory that instils fascination – as well as respect through exuberant promises and possibilities. This has also resulted in a counter trend of seeking to re-sensitise and re-humanise technology.
The digital future will bring about innovations that create associations between our virtual and real senses: one example involves online shopping platforms, which are making use of an increasing number of “phygital” further developments, such as virtual avatars, fittings or interaction possibilities – and this is happening in the beauty and care sector as well. Other examples include “virtual reality fragrance platforms” and research projects for screens with flavour simulations.
In the pursuit of relaxation, the new virtual reality experiences are also being used in wellness programmes – for example in therapeutic spas or multi-sensor cabins.
Colour palette FUTURISTIC WELLNESS
- A digital palette which recalls real life and virtual reality: light colours and many soft pastel shades as seen in a milky sky.
- The nuances are combined with warm, natural shades such as soft vanilla, skin beige and pearl grey. Violet is softly lightened and soft mauve shades are at the centre.
- Pearl pigments for soft focus effects set the tone; light corrections exhibit chameleon-like appearances.
- Reflective metallic effects remain on trend: in light shades and soft nuances in order to create new, subtle and ultra-sensitive digital beauty.
